His new book "Wildland" reports on three different places that he's lived in. His first book, "Age Of Ambition: Chasing Fortune, Truth, And Faith In The New China," won a 2014 National Book Award. He was the magazine's China correspondent from 2008 to 2013. He covers politics and foreign affairs for The New Yorker, where he's a staff writer. How did America become so divided? Why is there so much rage and fear? How did the gap grow so large between the wealthiest and everyone else? And why did we come so close to overturning the results of a presidential election? These are some of the questions my guest, Evan Osnos, grapples with in his new book "Wildland: The Making Of America's Fury." Osnos is also the author of a book about Joe Biden.
